From January 2011, the Estonian Advice Centre is organising through its sub-compaby new social counselling service for missing children - telephone 116 000, in addition to children's hotline 116 111. Missing Children Hotline 116 000 is offering an initial crisis counselling and information on how to behave, when a child is missing, forwarding the information on the missing child to local police. Distressed children and their parents can get this number and ask for help far from home, e.g. during holidays. Currently hotline operates fully in 12 Member States only, but according to the EU's telecom rules of November 2009, all EU Member States are obliged to take steps to launch a hotline number 116 000 by 25 May 2011.
